There’s been “a whole lot of shakin goin on” Earthquakes in Japan as of late and the whole world is abuzz over it. Why do you ask and what makes this time different from all the others, especially in Japan where earthquakes are like, a daily thing? Well, two reason’s I think. First of all, tomorrow’s event has been predicted and coincidently, there’s been a massive surge in earthquakes centered around the Tokara Islands just off southern Kyushu.
Most people would rightly just shrug off the prediction aspect because, well, even scientists can’t predict with any degree of certainty when an earthquake will occur but, they can be relatively certain that they will occur in a general location with some degree of accuracy as to when because of pattern recognition. In other words, because something has repeatedly happened someplace before, they can predict that it will happen again.
But what makes tomorrows event worth watching is the person who predicted it has accurately predicted other, past events. Rather than bore you with my tortured prose, here are some videos you might find interesting. BTW, and just so you know that I’m not full of shit and pulling this out of my ass, not all of the links that I’ll be sharing with you today are from conspiracy theory sites! Serious people are taking note too!

So in summation, a Manga artist who accurately predicted other past events, is predicting something big coming our way tomorrow. But what was that I mentioned about earthquake swarms?
Well, interestingly enough, in the past few weeks, there have been more than a thousand small earthquakes around the Tokara island group that extends southward from Kyushu in Japan toward the Ryukyu Archipelago.
To be fair and for clarification, this swarm of earthquakes is NOT occurring in the Nankai Trough where scientists tell us “The Big One” is most likely to occur. Rather, it’s a hundred or so miles to the west of the western most point of the Nankai area. Secondly, although earthquake swarms like this can be seen as precursors to a larger quake, they can also relieve some of the stress making a big quake less likely too. But, adding insult to injury, while they may relieve stress from one part of the ring of fire, of which the Nankai Trough and the Ryukyu trench is a part of, the release of stress from one area can cause an increase in the stress on the earth’s crust elsewhere so, win some lose some.
Lastly, why do I care? Well, I live on Okinawa island which is about a hundred or so miles south of the Tokara Island group. Okinawa is home to several large US military bases who will be busy celebrating the 4th of July this weekend. Coincidentally, Motobu Town in northern Okinawa, where I happen to live, is having their annual “Big” fireworks festival on Saturday the 5th. They’re going to shoot off ten-thousand of them. A mega-quake and tsunami could put a serious grunge on a lot of folks cool.
Is this the big one?
Or are we all being played like a big dummy?
We’ll know for sure in a little over 36 hours!
Just saying. . .
