Trump told us to have faith in his discernment, many did, and it turned out to be terrible. Mike Pence is just one example of many. Pence, Bill Barr, Jeff Sessions, Rex Tillerson, Jim Mattis, John Bolton, Christopher Wray, Chris Christie and on. People Donald Trump selected, elevated, trusted. People who, Trump later said, proved unworthy of his trust. These are people Trump eventually either decided he could not work with, or people who decided they could not work with him. What does it say about Donald Trump's judgment when he keeps making important personnel decisions that turn out so badly? If personnel is policy, as they say in Washington, then there's no reason to expect that a presidential candidate with such a bad record of getting the right people in key positions is going to get the things done that the people who vote for him want done.
This isn’t so much a criticism of Pence for being what I suspected, and Rosanne Barr knew he was but what Trump didn't. As guilty as Pence is of being a traitor to Trump, and the nation, this is just as much a criticism of Trump’s lack of discernment. But in Trump’s defense, let me just add that Jesus knew that Judas would betray him, Trump didn’t know Pence would turn on him. But congratulations to Mike Pence. When your name becomes a verb, like Jeffrey Toobin’s, you’re finally what you always wanted to be, infamous and whether or not your ready to admit it, you’re also history.
As for the Trump situation as it is now and the Republican Party as a whole, I can’t help but remember the scene from the movie Animal House where after his Delta Fraternity brothers wreck Flounder’s brother’s car, Fraternity brother Otter gives Flounder a big hug around his shoulder and tells Flounder “Come on, Flounder, you can’t spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes. You füçked up. You trusted us!” Sadly, this is part of Trump’s legacy.
In the Tucker Carlson interview, Pence said “America was not his concern.” He said it twice. I couldn't believe my ears! My jaw hit the floor when he said that. Yet we have so called “Republicans” calling him a patriot and hero for turning on Trump. This is the problem. We can no longer trust the Republican Party any more than we can trust the DemocRATS. As the so-called “Loyal Opposition,” history has shown us time and time again that the Republican Party is far more loyal to the Democrat Party than they’ve ever been in opposition to them.
Mike Pence has all of the presence of Dan Quayle with the personality of Dick Cheney. He’s a Casper Milquetoast on the outside with a darker inner side he kept hidden from everyone. Not anymore! He is now the official Judas Iscariot of the Republican party. Further, adding insult to injury and rubbing salt in an open wound, “Judas” Pence is now mischaracterizing what Trump asked him to do. There was plenty of evidence of fraud and reason to doubt the legal status of the elections and the electors as you will see in the links provided below.
This is just from the State of Michigan:

And now both Pense and Georgia are back in the sNooze!
I hope everyone understands that it's the electors who actually cast the votes for each state and unless state election law states otherwise, they are not bound by law to cast their votes by the way the majority in their state voted. This is why the X, Y and Z list actors all got on GoobTube in 2016 and begged the Republican electors in swing states to switch their votes from Trump to Hitlery Cling-on. Pence had the right, and arguably the duty, to send the electors back to their states to verify their status and ask for an audit of the votes, not just a recount. Google it if you doubt what I say. BTW Judas Pence is a pontificating jerk and a hypocrite. That Benedict Arnold is now saying that Trump is responsible for the “insurrection” (riots) on January 6. Trump did not ask him to throw out the election or count only the votes of the alternate slate of electors sent by the key states in question. Even so, there was precedent for doing just that circa the election of 1800.
So what’s the solution? Well, it certainly isn’t the DemocRATS. As far as personnel decisions, picking diversity hires whom we all know are incompetent over competent Republican traitors loyal to the DemocRATs is a fools choice. The Biden maladministration’s personnel decisions are far more dangerous than any of the mistakes made by Trump. The Solutions to our problems aren’t political, they’re spiritual! It’s long past time for people of faith to abandon man made solutions. Our only hope is repentance and turning to Jesus. I’ve read the book and know how this story ends. He’s coming again and it looks like his return may be sooner than we might like to think.
