Saw this on FascistBook posted by a friend and just had to say it!
You know, back in the day when it all got started, they didn't have no building. They used to just invite people over to their home for a meal, have a little wine, maybe listen to some music and if the song was really good, some folks might sing along. Then they'd just talk, catch up on what they've been reading lately and/or get to know each other. If someone was in need or hurting financially, emotionally or whatever and they could, some of them might even help out. You know, kinda like when an extended family gets together and someone you haven't seen in ages happens to show up. It wasn't about a building, it was about the people. IMHO, that's how it's still supposed to be. You could even do it around a campfire or a backyard BBQ if you wanted to.
Just saying. . .
